This isn’t just a cooking camp — it’s a mini life-skills lab disguised as a seriously fun kitchen adventure.
Cooking classes are four hours long and are located at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department unless otherwise noted.
All supplies are provided, they will cook and eat a full meal, and we can certainly work around dietary restrictions or allergies.
At our kids’ cooking camps, young chefs learn how to tackle practical, weeknight meals in a playful, hands-on, real-world setting. Each day features a theme — think Italian favorites, sheet-pan dinners, stir-fries, Mexican classics, and more — and kids get to choose the recipe they’re most excited about making.
The multipurpose room transforms into a pop-up grocery store, where campers work in small groups to:
“Shop” for their ingredients
Organize and prep like real cooks
Plan their workflow
Cook collaboratively and confidently
Once the food is ready, everyone comes together to serve a buffet-style lunch, celebrating what they’ve made and enjoying it as a group — just like a family dinner or casual dinner party.
And yes… they clean up too 😉
What they’re really learning (without even realizing it):
Meal planning and organization
Teamwork and communication
Kitchen confidence and independence
Time management and sequencing
Trying new foods and flavors
Responsibility (from start to finish)
